My main research interest is the accuracy of personality judgment. I am especially interested in what the benefits and drawbacks are of being able to judge others accurately, and in the characteristics and behaviors of good judges. I have also started to examine the connection between accuracy of judging emotional states and the accuracy of judging personality traits. Based on the new State and Trait Accuracy Model (STAM), we have proposed that accurate judgments of emotion will lead to accurate judgments of traits.
